About Us

A bedtime that ends in Truth

We're Taylor and Michelle Smith: husband and wife, parents, and the co-founders of Meadow.

Taylor spent years as a worship pastor and an iOS engineer before building Meadow Sleep by hand, line by line. Michelle narrates the stories your children fall asleep to and makes sure every word that reaches their hearts is true. We started Meadow because we wanted the same thing for our own kids that we hope you want for yours: bedtimes that end not just in rest, but in truth: Scripture in their ears, Jesus in the story, and peace that doesn't come from a screen.

We're not a tech company that happens to have a faith app. Meadow exists because we believe every moment of a child's day, even the last ten minutes before their eyes close, is a discipleship moment. We built the thing we wished existed for our own family. We hope it serves yours well too.

What We Believe

Our statement of faith

Below is Meadow's statement of faith. It shapes every story we write, every word we choose, and every decision we make as a company.

  1. Article 01

    The Bible

We believe the Bible is God's own Word, given through human authors by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, without error, and fully sufficient for life and faith. Scripture is not one voice among many in our content; it is the foundation everything else is built on.

    2 Timothy 3:16–17, 2 Peter 1:21

  2. Article 02

    God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), equal in power and glory. He created all things, sustains all things, and rules over all things according to His perfect wisdom and love.

    Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, Colossians 1:16–17

  3. Article 03

    Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who has always existed and was never created (begotten of the Father, not made) and who became fully man while remaining fully God. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place to pay for sin, rose bodily on the third day, and now reigns at the right hand of the Father. He is the only way to God, and every story we tell, from Creation to the Cross, points to Him.

    John 1:1–3, Colossians 1:15–17, John 14:6

  4. Article 04

    The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, draws people to faith in Christ, and lives within every believer, giving new life, assurance, and the power to grow in godliness.

    John 16:8, Titus 3:5, Romans 8:9–11

  5. Article 05

    Man and Sin

We believe God made man and woman in His own image, the height of His creation. We also believe all people, through Adam's fall, are born separated from God by sin and cannot save themselves. This is why every child, and every parent, needs a Savior.

    Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12

  6. Article 06

    Salvation

We believe salvation is a free gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not earned by good works, religious effort, or good behavior. Anyone who turns from sin and trusts in Christ is forgiven, made new, and kept secure in Him forever.

    Ephesians 2:8–9, John 1:12, Romans 8:38–39

  7. Article 07

    Family and the Church

We believe parents (not apps, not screens, not even Meadow) are the primary disciple-makers in a child's life, and that the local church is God's ordained gathering for worship, teaching, and fellowship. Meadow exists to serve and resource families in that calling, never to replace it.

    Deuteronomy 6:6–7, Ephesians 6:4, Hebrews 10:24–25
